How Can runny Nose Along With Dry Cough Be Treated?

Hi I ve had a dry cough for 2 weeks. In the beginning I was hoars and lost my voice for a week and very soon I started coughing. It s a dry cough that does not get worse by laying down, at night or anything else. It s fery random and can kick in for 30 minutes, then be gone for hours before it kicks in again. I can cough and cough but no mucous comes up. I ve had problems with having a stuffy nose/sinuses since I was a young child 3-4 years old, I just started taking adrenal gland support and adhesive since I was very stressed and my fight flight system kicked in all the time without ever going back down or normal.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As of now you can take antihistamines like Cetirizine for symptomatic relief. If nostrils are blocked, you can very well use decongestant drops also. You can also take expectorant cough syrups for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you good health.

Thanks.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
